About the Work

Neti (Held in Balance) is a trio built around a physical dialogue between opposing forces. Yielding and resisting, weight and suspension, presence and absence, and light and shadow shape its movement. Inspired by traditions that seek harmony through contrast and the letting go of form, the choreography approaches balance as a continuing process of becoming. The dancers explore this process through the relationships between these contrasting physical states.
